Tony Kushner and Sarah Vowell "The Lincoln Legacy: The Man and His Presidency"
From Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner and lauded author Sarah Vowell comes a powerful examination of one of American history's most singular figures: Abraham Lincoln. Best known for his play Angels in America, "the defining work of American art of the past 25 years" (Slate), Kushner also wrote the screenplay for Steven Spielberg's Lincoln biopic starring Daniel Day-Lewis. A self-described "narrative nonfiction wise guy," Vowell has written seven books about American history and culture, including the acclaimed Lafayette in the Somewhat United States. In this pairing born out of a shared interest in Lincoln's legacy, two celebrated wordsmiths will discuss one of our nation's greatest presidents.
