LINKS 2019: The Fierce Urgency of Now - From Inquiry to Action
LINKS 2019: A Two-day Leadership and Learning Convening The Fierce Urgency of Now - From Inquiry to Action April 26-27, 2019 The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Ventura, CA 3CSN invites college teams to attend the 2019 LINKS leadership summit as an opportunity to deepen our understanding around three inquiry areas: 1. What do we know about how learning works, and how can we redesign our institutions to best support student learning? 2. How can students better understand how our systems work and participate equitably in our transformation work? 3. As we transform, how do we design for inclusive collaboration and genuine integration across our institutions? Colleges from this past year’s BSILI: Leadership for Curricular and Institutional Transformation will be presenting and demonstrating how they have moved from inquiry to action in an effort to create lasting institutional change. Keynote presenters include Dr. Angelica Garcia, Vice President of Student Services at Skyline College, who will speak about creating guided pathways with equity at the center. Interactive session topics will include: Creating Faculty Learning Communities for institutional redesign Students at the center of guided pathways design Cross-district approaches to AB705 implementation Student engagement and peer support for guided pathways Moving from transactional to transformative collaboration in the shared governance process Who should come?
