New West Symphony presents: Dreams
Uplifting music that acted as a beacon of hope, buoying people in the darkest of times. Brundibár (Czech for “bumblebee”) was composed by Hans Krása in the Theresienstadt concentration camp and yet encourages faith in humankind. The program also features Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Guest artists include California Lutheran University Choir, Women’s Chorale and Areté Vocal Ensemble and Los Robles Children’s Choir. Dreams is part of a two-concert series remembering the Holocaust and honoring the 75th anniversary of the liberation of concentration camps.
