YouthWell High School Internship Opportunity
An event every week that begins at 8:00 am on Monday, repeating until March 30, 2026
YouthWell is recruiting high school students (grades 9–12) across Santa Barbara County for its 2026–2027 Youth Advocacy Board (YAB) Internship, a free, 10-month youth-led leadership program running August 2026 through May 2027.
Interns will gain mental health education, including Teen Mental Health First Aid or QPR certification, build real-world peer support and leadership skills, lead projects that impact students countywide, and represent YouthWell at schools and community events, including working inside YouthWell’s NEW Integrated Care Center in Santa Barbara.
The program includes monthly local in-person meetings, monthly countywide Zoom calls, and 2 in-person retreats per year. A summer internship is also available. Service hours earned. All identities and backgrounds welcome.
