Because of our lifetime commitment to our dogs\, we have a preference to place dogs locally so we are available to them if needed. We rely on donations and do not receive government\, state or city funding. We operate almost entirely by volunteers. \nAbout C.A.R.L. \nCanine Adoption and Rescue League (C.A.R.L.) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit all breed\, no-kill dog rescue and adoption organization. Since 1996\, C.A.R.L. has rescued and placed thousands of unwanted\, sick\, abandoned and homeless dogs. Dogs in our adoption program are placed in pre-screened\, loving and secure homes. SUMMARY:SEEAG Christmas Tree Fundraiser: Preorder Now For Dec. 2 Pickup
DESCRIPTION:Sustainably forested silver-tip fir trees from Northern California will be available for pickup on Saturday\, December 2 during “Christmas At The Farm” at Petty Ranch (11971 Darling Rd.) in Ventura. Proceeds from the Christmas tree fundraiser will help fund Students for Eco-Education and Agriculture (SEEAG) agriculture education and healthy eating programs for kids in Ventura County. \nTrees are available from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on December 2 or can be delivered ($75 delivery charge). Free hot cocoa and cookies will be served. Local vendors will be on hand at a pop-up holiday market. \nThe trees were donated by Rob Paulus\, a retired Cal Fire Battalion Chief\, and his family to support SEEAG and its ag-education efforts. Paulus has a 200-acre parcel of private land near the northern Sierra Nevada mountain range. He thins the overgrown forest on the property to reduce the risk of forest fires and to help restore the natural environment. \nBy purchasing your Christmas tree from SEEAG you’re supporting the education of thousands of students and improving the natural forest landscape. \nTree sizes are 6′ to 9 ‘($175) and 8′ to 10’ ($225). SEEAG is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization so all tree purchases are tax-deductible. All trees must be pre-ordered by going to https://www.seeag.org/christmas-at-the-ranch. \nFor questions about delivery\, call 805-892-8155 or email info@seeag.org.

SUMMARY:3rd Annual Plane Pull
DESCRIPTION:Join Alpha Resource Center on Saturday\, March 2\, 2024\, for our 3rd Annual Plane Pull.  \nThe Plane Pull is an extreme team challenge where teams of 10 play tug of war with an Alaska Airlines E175 airplane weighing nearly 100\,000 pounds. Your team will pull the airplane 20 feet; the fastest time in each division will be crowned division champion! Prizes will also be awarded to the Grand Champion team\, the team that raises the most money\, and the individual who raises the most money. \nEach team of 10 needs to raise $1\,000 to compete ($500 for the School division); that’s only $100 per person ($50 per person in the School division). Teams will compete in one of three divisions: Open Division\, School Division\, or Public Safety Division (includes law enforcement\, firefighters\, EMTs\, DOC\, and military personnel). Each team member receives a Plane Pull T-Shirt\, and the more money you raise\, the more chances to win other great prizes. \nWho can participate? Anyone can participate. Form a team of family members\, friends\, coworkers\, and gym buddies of all ages and abilities. First and foremost\, this is an opportunity to have fun while supporting Alpha Resource Center. Of course\, you can also compete for prizes and bragging rights. \nRegistration is now open!
