DESCRIPTION:Students for Eco-Education and Agriculture (SEEAG) is hosting Plantopia U Pick Transplant Fundraiser to celebrate Earth Day\, Saturday\, April 22. For a $35 donation\, participants can pick a combination of 12 small plants to fill two six-pack containers with tomatoes\, zucchini\, squash\, basil and peppers. The organic seedlings are from Plantel Nurseries. In addition\, donors will receive free four-quart bags of Agromin’s potting soil. SEEAG’s Plantopia is from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at SEEAG’s Ventura County Farm Lab at Petty Ranch (11917 Darling Road\, Saticoy). Tours of Petty Ranch are at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Plantopia is also taking place at and at Rancho De Los Olivos (2210 Alamo Pintado Rd.\, Solvang) and at Farm Supply (1920 N. This is a space designed to allow everyone to be seen and heard without judgment or a need “fix”.  \nThis is open to anyone who wants to connect with the community\, be engaged with an open heart\, and participate in truly being present with each story told. We will start in Joy and end in Joy. \nWe all have a story and from our stories healing can ensue.  Through spontaneity\, lean detailed stories\, heart-centered sharing\, and deep present listening- we can all receive the medicine of council.  \nThis is a donation-based event at Pura Luna Apothecary in Santa Barbara. Recommended donation is $10-15 for our instructor and staff’s energy exchange.

DESCRIPTION:“A killer line-up of players… they all converge on this extremely cosmopolitan\, sleek\, rhythm-forward\, modern sound.” NPR \nARTEMIS is an international ensemble of modern jazz masters named for the ancient Greek goddess of the hunt. Founded in 2017 under the banner of International Women’s Day\, it made a memorable splash at the 2018 Newport Jazz Festival\, followed by a debut recording on Blue Note in 2020. Each member is a composer and bandleader in their own right\, and the collective’s repertoire draws from new compositions written expressly for them\, to classics by Lee Morgan\, Thelonious Monk and Wayne Shorter.

The first woman of Mexican ancestry to be named U.S. poet laureate\, Limón views identity – and poetry – as an avenue to greater possibilities.

Born into European film royalty as the daughter of director Roberto Rossellini and actor Ingrid Bergman\, her own performances are some of the definitive images in film. After a successful career in acting and modeling\, she earned a master’s degree in animal behavior and now creates unique and humorous works of performance art based on her research. Known for her philanthropic efforts in animal conservation among other areas\, Rossellini runs an organic farm in Bellport\, New York. As former muse and partner to artists like David Lynch\, Martin Scorsese and Gary Oldman\, Rossellini has stories to share and ideas of her own about the trials and tribulations of a life lived almost entirely in the public eye.
